DC Technology Office Manager, Yusuf Acar Goes For Big Money From Prison

The DC government worker admitted last month in a plea bargain with federal prosecutors that he and his wife accepted bribes of more than half a million dollars to a contractor for the sale of software and hardware for Office of Technology City.

Acar was a middle manager in the office technology, but in any event, to live in a house of 4,000 square feet overlooking Rock Creek Park in the neighborhood of Forest Hills district.

9NEWS learned that Acar, while still in prison, has sold the house for 1.2 million U.S. dollars last November. Real estate sources say the house was sold in seven days, which means that he must have had several offers.

DC Attorney General Peter Nickles said by telephone that he would talk with prosecutors to ensure that the Treasury, DC, when profits from the sale.
